When should I schedule my bridal mehndi?

How long does bridal mehndi take?
Generally simple designs take 1.5–2 hours. But intricate full-arm + feet designs can take up to 3–6+ hours. You will also want breaks, so plan accordingly with your mehndi artist.
Do you offer fusion or minimal designs?
Yes! Our creative mehndi artists can do a mix of traditional Indian, Arabic, or Moroccan styles. They also do modern minimal designs for low-key brides or Western guests.
Can I choose my own design?
Absolutely! Brides often bring ideas from Pinterest, Cultural motifs (e.g. dulha-dulhan, mandalas, peacocks), Personalized elements (e.g. initials, wedding date, pets, love story). Also, it’s a tradition to hide the groom’s name in the mehndi design for a fun post-ceremony game. We recommend discussing with your mehndi artist about your needs right in the beginning for ideas.
Do you use natural henna and can you accommodate allergies or sensitive skin?
It varies between all vendors but generally all use 100% natural henna—no chemicals, no PPD, no black henna. It’s safe for sensitive skin and pregnant guests. We recommend letting your mehndi artists know in advance so they can do a patch test or offer organic-only henna paste.
What should I do before my mehndi appointment?
We recommend you shower beforehand (avoid water after application), exfoliate your hands and feet, wear loose, comfortable clothing and don’t apply lotions or oils on the application area. We recommend discussing all points ahead of time with your mehndi artist.
What should I do after the mehndi is applied?
Generally recommended to let it dry for 30–45 mins. Keep it on for 6–8 hours, avoid water, soap, and sweating and scrape off (don’t wash!) the dried paste. We recommend discussing all points ahead of time with your mehndi artist.
How can I make my mehndi darker?
Here are some tips - leave it on for 6–8 hours (overnight is best!). Avoid water for the first 24 hours. Use a lemon-sugar sealant or heat from a steamer. Wrap it lightly with plastic or tissue.

How long does it take per guest?
Generally basic strip/palm designs take 5–10 minutes per guest. More detailed designs take 10–20 minutes each. We recommend discussing with your mehndi artist at the start about all your needs and plan extra time for larger groups. In case of large groups, multiple mehndi artists are recommended.
How far in advance should I book you?
We recommend at least 2–4 months in advance, especially during peak wedding season. Also depends on how busy the mehndi artist is to accommodate your dates.

What setup do you need at the event?
